Hi, Welcome to my homepage!
This is Adnan Faisal, at present a PhD candidate at RADS Lab, Systems and Computer Engineering department (under the joint supervision of Prof. Murray Woodside and Prof. Dorina Petriu) of Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. My research interests and experiences are related to performance engineering and capacity planning (using queueing systems, simulation, MVA etc.) of different types of computer systems and networks. I am particularly interested to apply performance modeling techniques in different software architectures. I am also interested to exert my expertise on the fields of real-time parallel and distributed systems, middleware, cloud computing, e-commerce, web services and service oriented architectures.
My career goal is to help people organizing their computers and network resources in more efficient ways. I intend to develop predictive models which will assist companies and organizations to confront future changes with minimum cost and effort. I think that doing a PhD to gain more knowledge and expertise, as well as becoming a researcher and/or professor is the correct path to achieve my career goals.
